Well I’ve seen every jailhouse from here to Encinitas and I was born in San Antone by man whose father was a preacher that left his wedding band at home. And I picked the banjo in the family band. I never spend a day in school but I’ll be damned if that street dealing man didn’t raise no fool. I had three children before I hit my twenties and skipped town on my parole. They caught me down somewhere on route 60 clowning in the rodeo. And I’ve been shot by three of my ex-lovers. Another burned my trailer down. I should have been dead but I was underneath the covers on the other side of town. I ain’t got no home but if I had a home I’d of stayed at home. But I ain’t got no home and I’m at the end of the rope.
The second EP from Northern Irish singer-songwriter Bea Stewart runs from gentle folk to pillowy pop ballads, all perfectly executed. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 15, 2024
